Ho creato un video tutorial, una guida video spiegata in italiano, che insegna come regolare alcuni parametri del client per connessioni desktop remoto di Windows al fine di migliorare le performances del flusso di dati. A discapito della qualità è possibile aumentare la velocità di iterazione dei desktop remoti, ed in base a cioò che dobbiamo fare sul desktop remoto possiamo decidere di quali informazioni privarci per raggiungere lo scopo con velocità e semplicità. Le stesse metodologie possono essere applicate, anche se con impostazioni leggermente diverse, sulla maggior parte dei software client per connessioni in desktop remoto oltre che sul software di casa Microsoft distribuito gratuitamente all’ interno del sistema operativo Xp e Vista. Applicando le semplici opzioni spiegate nel video si possono ottenere enormi vantaggi in velocità e controllabilità del desktop remoto. Tuttavia se non vi trovate in un ambiente LAN o con connessioni estremamente performanti in upload da parte del desktop remoto, difficilmente riuscirete ad ottenere una soddisfacente controllabilità nello scrolling di pdf o di foto. I video sono estremamente penalizzati poichè la velocità richiesta per supportare un refresh video tramite un desktop remoto è incredibilmente elevata.

Sono apprezzati commenti a questo articolo che eventualmente ci portino a conoscenza di quale connessione sarebbe indicata per il refresh video visualizzato tramite un desktop remoto…

Parallels Desktop: cartelle condivise lente

Se vi è già capitato di notare lentezza nelle operazioni pi+ù comuni nelle cartelle condivise fra la macchina virtualizzata e quella che ospita probabilmente potete specificare nel file hosts le seguenti informazioni. Dovrebbe ridurre il tempo di risoluzione del nome macchina e aumentare la performance:

notepad C:\Windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts

e aggiungere le due righe in giallo

127.0.0.1 localhost
127.0.0.1 .psf

Creare un indice del blog per Google è un’ operazione abbastanza semplice, vediamo in questi brevi passi come fare per affrontare il problema:

1) Creiamo un nuovo modulo (in Template Modules) e lo chiamiamo “Google Sitemap Include”

2) Copiamo all’ interno il seguente codice:
